The Weird Obsession with Xscapers RV Club

Have you ever met an Xscaper? They’re an interesting bunch, and their events are even more interesting. They’re all pretty obsessed with their Xscapers RV club, which can seem kind of weird.

But let’s take a closer look at Xscapers and their parent organization, the Escapees RV Club. After this, you’ll finally understand the weird obsession with this group of lively RVers.

What Is Xscapers?

Xscapers is a community within the Escapees RV Club. Xscapers is a thriving and vibrant RVing community, both online and offline. It caters to working-aged RVers, including many younger RVers who work from the road, often while raising their families.

But not every Xscaper works from the road, and not every Xscaper is “working-aged.” Many retirees love being Xscapers, too. If you ask anyone in the community, it’s more about a mindset than age or demographic. Xscapers love to party and have fun, which you can witness at their many yearly events.

About the Escapees RV Club

Escapees RV Club is an RV membership club that describes itself as a “Total Support Network for ALL RVers.” Escapees doesn’t have requirements to join; they don’t care if you’re full-time or part-time or whether you have an RV, travel trailer, van, or nothing yet.

This RV club has many different types of members, from millennials to retirees, families to solo travelers, and more. Because of their varied member base, there are many different interest groups within the club, including Xscapers.

Escapees is one of the oldest RV clubs around, and it’s still family-run today. The Xscapers community launched in 2015 and has grown rapidly ever since. Let’s take a closer look at the benefits of this RV club.

Benefits of Escapees RV Club and Xscapers

An Escapees RV Club membership costs $49 per year and comes with a ton of benefits. Escapees members have access to one of the most passionate and vibrant communities of RVers, both online and off. This club has an RV event just about every month of the year.

Other benefits of Escapees RV Club include member discounts on a variety of RV-related products and services, from Battle Born Batteries to E-bikes, RV tires, and more.

You also get discounts on other camping memberships, like Harvest Hosts, Boondockers Welcome, Passport America, and more. They have a mail forwarding service for RVers, an online RV education platform, in-person RV Bootcamp events, roadside assistance, discounts for RV parks, and more.

Is Every Escapees RV Club Member Also an Xscaper?

The difference between Escapees RV Club and Xscapers is confusing for many people, but it’s really simple. Xscapers is just a community within Escapees RV Club for a particular lifestyle or interests.

Typically, Xscapers are individuals with an active and fun-loving lifestyle. They love to have a good time, share knowledge about the RV lifestyle, and help out friends in need.

Any Escapees RV Club member can choose to be an Xscaper or attend Xscaper events. Every Xscaper is an Escapees RV Club member, but not every Escapees RV Club member is an Xscaper.

Xscapers RV Events Aren’t Your Traditional RV Rallies

The tagline for the Xscapers Annual Bash is, “This ain’t your grandma’s RV rally,” and that’s pretty accurate. Activities at Xscapers RV events (called Convergences) run the gamut from adrenaline-filled adventures to distillery and brewery tours, margarita throwdowns, dance parties, and more.

The yearly Annual Bash is a 10-day non-stop party in the desert, complete with a prom night, a rave night, and more. If you like making friends, partying, and generally having a good time, you’ll love an Xscapers event.

There’s plenty of Xscapers fun for non-partiers, too. These include sunrise hikes, group grill-outs, off-roading adventures, dog walks, morning yoga sessions, and more.

What Are the Benefits of Being an Xscaper?

If you’re looking to find “your people” on the road, Xscapers might be just what you’re looking for. Xscapers interests are all over the board, but they all have one thing in common: a love of RVing. You won’t find a more helpful group of RVers.

The ability to be a part of such a large, bright, and vibrant community is a definite benefit. Many members say Xscapers feels more like a family than a random group of RVers. The number one benefit of this group is community, which can be hard to come by on the road.

Why Xscapers Are Obsessed with Being Xscapers

If you’ve met an Xscaper, you know that they’re all pretty obsessed with the fact that they’re Xscapers. Some of them even have Xscapers tattoos. While some call them cult-like, they’d prefer the term “passionate.”

The reason Xscapers are obsessed with being Xscapers is simple: they’ve found their people. For many RVers, community on the road (or lack thereof) can make or break RV life.

Life on the road is isolating, and it’s not always easy to find people with the same interests as you. Many Escapees RV Club event attendees have made lifelong friends at an Escapees or Xscapers event.

Is an Escapees RV Club Membership Right For You?

Xscapers isn’t the only community within Escapees RV Club, but it’s one of the most well-known. There are special-interest communities and events for many different lifestyles, activity levels, and preferences.

If community, RV discounts, education, and support sound good to you, Escapees RV Club is well worth it. They’re one of the oldest and greatest RV clubs in the U.S., and they constantly strive to advocate for and support RVers.

If you’ve been looking for RV memberships, we highly recommend giving this passionate club a try. Have you ever attended an Xscapers event? What did you think?
