There’s pretty much nowhere Mike Corey hasn’t traveled. From Germany to the Phillippines to Turkmenistan to the Amazon jungle, Fearless And Far is truly a world adventurer. Fearless And Far has also posted videos from Thailand and the Bahamas. He has spent years exploring Mexico and Indonesia.
His latest YouTube videos in 2024 have been from Africa where he has spent the last year or so living with tribal peoples. He shares about getting attacked by demons in a Zimbabwe market and receiving a nose piercing, a rite of passage in the Batonga Tribe.
When Did Fearless And Far Begin Traveling?
Originally, Mike is from New Maryland, New Brunswick, Canada. His first YouTube video was posted on September 1, 2011. This short 2.5-minute video captures the world’s biggest food fight in Bunol, Spain.
As a large truck passes through the crowded street, tomatoes fly everywhere, and Mike and his friends are pelted and soaked as they join in.
Fearless And Far wrote about La Tomatina: “Prepare to get soaked, stained, and pushed around. It was only an hour, which was a good thing. Being pelted by tomatoes is fun for about that amount of time, but not much after.”

3 Of the Most Popular YouTube Videos By Fearless And Far
With over 2.5 million subscribers, Fearless And Far has a huge following. These three videos have over eight million views each. It seems the public is fascinated by Mike’s adventures and encounters with new people and places worldwide.
1. Raiding a Baboon Camp with Hadza Hunter-Gatherers in Tanzania
In this video from March 2021, Fearless And Far is in Tanzania near Lake Eyasi, home of the Hadzabe Tribe. This is one of the only hunter-gatherer tribes left in the world. In this video, Mike joins them for a 2-day hunt for baboons.
During the experience, the group of hunters kills a mongoose, a bat, and other wild animals. But they weren’t able to track down a baboon.
It’s an amazing glimpse into the life humans used to live thousands of years ago. This YouTube video is Mike’s most popular with over 16 million views.
2. Catching Baboons with the Hadza People
Only a few months later, Fearless And Far released this video from June 2021 that as the Hadzabe Tribe tried to hunt baboons yet again. Mike joined them for a 72-hour adventure through the African bush.
They chased a large predator through the thorny landscape but it eluded them. Mike shared about how difficult the experience is, how slow he moves compared to the Hadzabe people, and how exhausted he is after each attempt.
Finally, the tribe is successful when they jump a baboon family at night. They kill one baboon, and another tribe member shoots one with a poison dart, and they’ll return in the morning to search for it.
In the morning, the tribes find the dead baboon and return to camp where they feast on the rewards of their hunt. This YouTube video has over 8.5 million views.
3. Living a Week with the Death Tribe of Indonesia
Finally, this YouTube video from October 2021 is Mike’s third-most-popular release with over 8 million views. Fearless And Far is deep in central Indonesia, a place called the Land of the Dead.
Mike chose to come here because “the Torajan people have some of the music elaborate funeral rituals on the planet.” They have unique views of death.
During funerals, the Torajan people spend up to $30,000 on a buffalo, an animal they believe will ensure the safe passage of their loved one to the afterlife. Mike visited a family who is housing their dead until they can save up enough money for the lavish funeral. The matriarch has been dead for five years, while her husband just died about three weeks ago.
Towards the end of the video, Mike records the Walking Dead Festival. He went inside a cave with 200 or so dead bodies and showed the care these people put into preserving the bodies and memories of their ancestors. The Torajan people moved some of the bodies to a proper grave, and Mike joined them for the festival events.
