Where Was Fun For Louis’s First Road Trip?

Louis’s first video was released in May 2012. It’s a travel vlog of a road trip he took with his friends to Norway. They began in Cobham, England, traveled to Hamburg, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Gothenburg, Sweden; and finally reached Steinsvik, Norway.

They explored other areas of Norway as they celebrated Louis’s birthday and Josh’s wedding. Fun For Louis also released a second video, detailing the rest of their epic road trip adventure and return home.

Where Has Fun For Louis Traveled Since Then?

After his road trip to Norway with his friends in mid-2012, Fun For Louis traveled throughout the United Kingdom for about a month before heading to the U.S. He explored Los Angeles for about 50 days before heading to other parts of the country like Nashville, Chicago, and Austin. Fun For Louis has visited Africa, Europe, Canada, and other places all over the world.

A few years ago, Louis started releasing videos of DIY projects. One of his main projects was building an electric Tesla-powered classic VW bus. He shared the challenges and successes along the way as well as his road trip across the U.S. in the bus. During this time, he proposed to his girlfriend Raya, traveled to Italy for another road trip, converted a double-decker bus into a tiny home, and became a dad.

Fun For Louis has posted hundreds of videos over the last twelve years. His three most popular YouTubes have millions of views. Let’s take a brief look at each one!

1. I’ve Found A Wife!

This video from 2015 has over ten million views! Fun For Louis travels to Africa to the region of southern Angola and northern Namibia where the Himba tribe lives. Louis discovers unique customs and rituals in this tribe, including that the first wife has to be a cousin.

The kids were fascinated with the photography tools. The Himba people survive by trading and selling small trinkets like hand-woven baskets, which Louis purchased for his sister. The tribe welcomed Louis. It was apparent they were used to outsiders coming in to see their way of life.

2. Brutal Skating Accident

Next up, this video from June 2014 has over 3.5 million views. It was taken in Moscow, Russia. The video begins with Louis on the ground and his friends running after him asking him if he’s ok. They ask him if he’s broken anything. He speed-wobbled down a hill and skidded along the sidewalk. He lost a lot of skin during the accident.

However, once his friends got him into the car, Louis started going into shock, and they took him to a hospital where he stayed for about three hours. Louis had an allergic reaction to codeine, which made his eye swell up in addition to his other injuries.

Thankfully, Louis recuperated and was able to visit an awards banquet the next night where his friend, Steve, won an award for “Best Male Style Guide” for his blog. Unfortunately, Louis missed the actual award presentation, but he made it to congratulate his friend.

3. Draw My Life – Louis Cole

Finally, in 2013, Louis released an autobiographical video, something very different from his other adventurous productions. With over 2.4 million views, it’s one of his most popular YouTubes. He explains his background, family life as a child, and how he was inspired to start traveling. At age 16, he took a road trip with his friend to Paris and that began his love for adventure.

As a young adult, he moved in with a friend, and they opened their home to anyone who needed a place to stay. They wanted to show love to everyone and offer help to others in need. When he started making YouTube videos, he had no idea his silly eating videos would transform his life and become a source of income.

Food For Louis became Fun For Louis, and he became one of the most influential travel vloggers in the world. At the end of this video, Louis had moved to Los Angeles and was excited about how he could use YouTube to positively change people’s lives.
