About Hymer
Hymer is a subsidiary of Thor Industries and is one of Europe’s most respected and well-known names for motorhomes and caravans.
In addition to Hymer, the company owns a fleet of brands, including Burstner, Carado, SUnlight, Etrusco, Elddis, Laika, LMC, Niesmann + Bischoff, Bethleffs, Eriba, and Movera, a camping equipment wholesaler.
Hymer has been making premium-quality leisure vehicles since 1957. They’re incredibly passionate about what they do, and their goal is to help customers thoroughly enjoy their trips. They have a high reputation in the European RV market and have received multiple awards on customer satisfaction surveys.
Their product lineup includes integrated motorhomes, semi-integrated motorhomes, and camper vans. However, no matter which lineup you choose, you’ll get one of the highest-quality RVs on the market. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is hard to match.

What Is the Hymer VisionVenture?
The Hymer VisionVenture is a peek into what Hymer expects modern travel to look like in 2025. It’s a concept for a camper van that sits on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis and is unlike any camper van you’ve ever seen.
It includes essential features like four-wheel drive, ultra-resilient paintwork, and advanced 3D printed parts. This camper van is capable of handling almost anything you throw at it.
Christian Bauer, President of Hymer GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Waldsee, said, “A major source of inspiration for this project was the camper community, who have given us new impetus with their creative ideas and DIY conversions.”
The result is a multifunctional and open floorplan. It’s perfect for living comfortably while on epic adventures.
Technology
Hymer’s VisionVenture embraces technology to help create one of the most innovative and inspiring B+ camper vans we’ve ever seen. The 3D-printed body parts are highly durable, especially around the wheel arch panels. This will be crucial if you plan to make use of the four-wheel drive capabilities.

The VisionVenture will have ultra-resilient paintwork for its dark green color. The paint will use temperature regulating, energy-efficient Chromacool technology. It dramatically reduces the surface temperature of the vehicle by 68 degrees F and can help keep internal temperatures down by 39 degrees.
Specs
As VisionVenture is a concept, specs aren’t set in stone. Until they make the final production decisions for the vehicle, almost anything can change.
However, Hymer wants to create the most comfortable, self-sufficient camper vans that owners can take anywhere. When looking at their concept, the specs are sure to be as impressive as their design.
Features
Hymer plans to have an upstairs bedroom and rear patio on the VisionVenture. You’ll have plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the views once you park your rig in an epic location.

The top includes roof-mounted solar panels and a pneumatic pop-top roof that maximizes space inside the vehicle while camping.
The VisionVenture will feature 20 innovative materials from BASF. Hymer sees the current consumer demands and anticipates future industry trends in the many features they’re planning for this B+ camper van.
Like the vehicle specs, they haven’t revealed much regarding potential features. However, if the final product is anything like the concept pictures, it’s sure to be one of the best homes on wheels.
Will the Hymer VisionVenture Be Put Into Production?
Sadly, VisionVenture is currently only a concept of what Hymer expects camping will be like in a couple of years. The first editions of the VisionVenture began circulating in 2019, and over the past three years, many of the concepts Hymer included have started to appear on more camper vans.

We’ll keep you updated if and when we hear anything regarding an official production announcement!
How Much Is the Hymer VisionVenture?
Since the Hymer VisionVenture is a speculative vehicle at this point, there’s no official pricing. However, if we look at the other models of Hymer’s fleet, you can get a ballpark idea of the potential costs.
The Hymer Venture S starts at 225,000 Euros, slightly less than $225,000. Since VisionVenture would contain several significant upgrades, we expect prices to be well over the $225,000 price point.

However, this is the base price. Some desired features or materials may not come with the standard option. Prices will likely climb as you customize or improve the finished product.
There’s much we don’t know about the Hymer VisionVenture. We can expect that it will not be cheap when it comes out. It may be beyond reality for many adventurers.
What Other Motorhomes and Camper Vans Does Hymer Make?
Hymer offers semi-integrated, integrated, and camper vans in their fleet. There are 22 models, ranging from camper vans that can sleep two to motorhomes that can sleep up to five.
However, no matter which Hymer vehicle you choose, you get the same quality and reliability.
Can I Buy a Hymer RV in the U.S.?
American RV giant Thor Industries purchased Hymer in 2019 and looked to start rolling out Hymer USA products by the end of 2020. However, 2020 was a bit chaotic, which caused delays and cancellations for many plans.
Currently, there are no Hymer RV dealers in the United States. As a result, Hymer RVs aren’t easy to come by, but some used models are occasionally available on RV Trader.
Is Hymer a Good Brand?
Hymer may be an unfamiliar name to many in the RV community in the United States, but they have a solid reputation in Europe. They build high-quality, sturdy motorhomes and camper vans that allow you to live comfortably. They’re not the cheapest vehicles, but most premium products have a high price tag.
We’re looking forward to watching Hymer grow and expand its presence in the United States.
