What Is TSA PreCheck?

If all goes well, you’ll receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) that you’ll enter when booking future flights. The Global Entry program costs more and is valid for the same time. However, it provides TSA PreCheck benefits and helps to simplify the customs process when returning from trips outside the US.

To maintain a certain level of security, TSA reserves the right to randomly exclude passengers from using TSA PreCheck. Their officials can randomly stop you and subject you to further security checks. While these are rare, they’re unfortunately impossible to predict. As a result, it may be best to build some time into your schedule to ensure you catch your flight.
