The Benefits of a Cirrus 920 Truck Camper
The Cirrus 920 is a truly four-season camper perfect for the outdoor enthusiast or solo or coupled RVers. The interior includes the popular Alde hydronic central heat and hot water system for keeping all areas of your camper comfy and warm. It has a Fan-tastic Fan, a spacious and functional wet bath, a two-burner cast iron cooktop, and a three-way fridge. Other interior features include a Lagun table and a queen-sized bed.
Exterior features include insulated doors and windows, a heated floor thanks to the Alde heating system, electric jacks, a motorized side awning, LED patio lights, external speakers, a fold-up access ladder, and keyless entry. It weighs 3,530 dry and measures just under 19 feet long.
The camper comes with a 38-gallon freshwater tank, a 32-gallon gray water tank, and an 18-gallon black tank. It also comes with two 20-pound propane tanks and two 6V AGM batteries.
The Downsides of a Cirrus 920 Truck Camper
The most obvious downside is the weight. There’s only so much you can do to cut weight down on a truck camper. That means you need a more robust and expensive truck to haul it.
Also, this truck camper doesn’t have any slides. That might be a bonus for some, but if you’re looking for the additional space that slide-outs offer, you won’t find it here.
What Is the Cirrus 720?
The Cirrus 720 is the older and smaller version of the 920. This truck camper has many features that come standard on the 920, like the Alde heating and hot water system. It’s rated for 3/4 ton trucks, but still has a ton of options.
The 720 also has a functional wet bath with a cassette toilet, a smaller three-way refrigerator, and a queen-sized bed. It comes with an exterior shower, amber LED porch lights, and external stereo speakers.
Just about everything else on the 720 is smaller, including the tanks. This camper comes with one propane tank instead of two and one battery. It weighs 1,875 pounds dry. If you want a smaller truck camper, this might be a great option for you.
Is a Cirrus 920 Truck Camper Right for You?
If you’re looking for a beautiful and robust truck camper at a medium price point, we can’t recommend the Cirrus 920 enough. This truck camper is rugged and capable while still offering a ton of interior space and amenities. Full-timing in a truck camper is a real possibility when you have all the creature comforts you’ll find in the Cirrus 920. But if you want the same amenities in a smaller footprint, you might be happier with a Cirrus 720. Which Cirrus sounds right for you?
